New Post: Script works perfectly with 64 bit but not 32bit

Gday,

I have been working with creating a deployment script for a Custom App to deploy to a huge enterprise. The goal is to Query the OS type '32bit or 64bit' then Uninstall previous versions and install a new version.
64bit uninstalls fine with App Deployment Toolkit.

32bit starts the uninstall but fails to remove shortcuts and instll the new program. This is when it is deployed with SCCM 2012.

If I browse to the SCCM Cache directory and run the program directly from powershell it works perfectly.

So here is what I have
  • Poweshell 3.0
  • The App works perfectly when deployed with SCCM 2012 on x64 Windows 7 Machines
  • The App Starts but fails with SCCM 2012 when deployed to x32 Windows machines. And if the app does install short cuts are not created or deleted.
  • When I run the 32bit locally on the machine it works fine.
So is there a permissions issue going on here? our Powershell policy is set to unrestricted. Anything else that I should look for?

Cheers ..
